Hi! My name is Meredith Welborn. I’m 18 years old, and I’ve lived in Nashville, Tennessee for my entire life. I just graduated High School and am about to leave everything I know to start my new life in Dallas, Texas where I will be starting college in the fall.
I’ve wanted to start a blog for quite some time now but have always been too busy with school work or in a production at school at the time. I have done theatre all throughout high school, taken piano lessons for as long as I can remember, taken classical voice off and on since I was a young girl, been an editor of my high school’s yearbook, and so on. Long story short, I have a very large creative muscle, and since I’m now transitioning away from my old creative outlets, I decided to take control and create one for myself: a blog.
Now, you may be wondering: why a lifestyle blog? My friends and peers have consistently asked me about where I shop, which skin care products are the best, and how I apply my makeup, so I thought this would be a great place to share that with anyone who was or is curious! And being a person who tries to be cautious with money, I’m always looking for sales and sharing them with people, so naturally I thought that a blog would also be a great outlet to help other people save some cash! As for health, I’m no nutritionist or work out junkie by any means — in fact, I’m quite the opposite. Considering I have done theatre and acting for my entire high school career, I have never been very active until this past year. I started going to barre classes last summer which kickstarted my desire to be more healthy, but I’m still learning and want to share this learning process with anyone who choses to read my blog!
I want to throw out a disclaimer before I begin to post anything else: I do not think material things or being skinny leads to happiness.
There is a very large difference between appreciating nice things and feeling they are necessities. There is no amount of money, clothes, shoes, or number on the scale that will guarantee you any joy or happiness. Fashion and beauty are what I know best, and that is why I want to share them with you. I do, however, think that taking care of yourself should be a top priority for everyone and that what you look like on the outside can have an effect on how you feel on the inside — even though it is small. How you choose to express yourself outwardly is typically the first impression you give people, and similarly, I think putting some effort into your appearance for a friend’s birthday party or a date shows a degree of respect and that that particular event was important to you. This is what I (and many others) like to call: “putting your best foot forward,” and I want to help you do that!
If you ever have any questions specific, general, personal, hypothetical — please, please feel free to ask me!
