Hello my beautiful people! I hope your long weekend was fabulous and full of good food and friends. As you can probably tell from the title, I was in Teen Vogue Online! Well… my room was! I have been reading Teen Vogue’s blog for forever, and I was so excited that one of their writers Katelyn Chef found pictures of my room and reached out to me. She wrote an adorable article, and I really don’t have much to say about this other than that it is just about the coolest thing that has ever happened to me. Read the article here! Thank you Katelyn! You’re such a talented writer. Check out her blog here!
I am going to talk to y’all today about two of the best things in the world (in my opinion): tacos and jumpsuits. Dallas has such a vibrant food culture and with Mexico being just south, it has got some pretty kick-ass Tex-Mex (hence the name). One of my favorite taco shops that I’ve been to here in Dallas is called The Velvet Taco. It’s a local fave and awesome for brunch, lunch, dinner, or late-night munchies. I definitely used this post as an excuse to go eat dinner there the other night. Everything I’ve tried on the menu is insanely delicious! My personal favorite taco is the Picnic Taco, and of course, you can’t have Tex-Mex without cheese dip. And boy, let me tell you, their cheese dip is top notch.
Onto one of my other favorite things: jumpsuits. I am such a huge fan of rompers, but had never really ventured into the realm of jumpsuits…that is, until a month ago. It’s actually a funny story and a totally telling one of my personality. I was in Downtown Franklin (swoon!) with my family one night, and my dad was meeting some of his friends at the bar at Gray’s on Main (also — swoon!). My sister Lydia and I were walking around, and we ended up going into Anthropologie. I didn’t have a lot of time to get ready that night, and I felt really frumpy in my outfit which I really hate. When I saw this jumpsuit, I knew I had to get it. I ended up wearing it out of the store! It just made me feel good wearing it a) because it is so trendy and fun and b) because jumpsuits like this are great at hiding food babies! 😉 I always try to leave my house (or dorm) wearing something that makes me feel like a 10. It’s just a good rule to staying confident and happy when you’re going out! I paired it here with a mustard yellow bralette, black floppy hat, adidas Superstars, and my fringe purse by The Frye Company. The great thing is that you can dress up or dress down jumpsuits and they look equally fabulous and adorable.

Enjoyed your post so much, Mere!
Yes,, the jumpsuit looks so cute on you, and yay for tacos, especially real Tex-Mex ones! Nashville is missing you – – Franklin too.

Thank you! Miss you, Nashville, and Franklin tons!
Great post! Love tacos (and spicy margs). Just as a polite note, you used the wrong type of “your” in your second sentence. Keep up the great content 🙂
